Why buy aesthetic products from India

India is a convenient consolidation point for aesthetic clinics and distributors in the GCC, Africa, South and Southeast Asia and Latin America. Korean fillers and boosters, European and Swiss glutathione sets, lipolytic solutions and mesotherapy actives are all routed through importers here, and a Bengaluru exporter can put them in one box with one commercial invoice and one courier airway bill.

This checklist is what we send to new overseas buyers before their first order. It is deliberately plain about where importing is straightforward and where it is not. Qunza Global is a supplier, not a regulatory consultant; confirm anything market-specific with your own customs broker or regulator.

Step 1: Know which class of product you are buying

Our catalogue splits into two classes and the import rules follow the class, not the brand.

Class Examples in our catalogue Import reality
Open Serums, oral supplements, non-sterile consumables, aftercare Most markets allow import by a business or individual with a normal customs entry
Restricted HA fillers, skin boosters (Profhilo, Rejuran, Hyaron), glutathione and vitamin injectables, lipolytics, PDO threads Importer must be licensed or registered for that product class in the destination country; the product usually needs its own registration too

If you are not sure which class a product falls in, ask. The answer determines everything that follows.

Step 2: Importer licence reality, market by market

This is the section buyers most often skip and most often regret.

United States. HA fillers are Class III devices requiring FDA premarket approval; injectable drugs need FDA licensing. Korean fillers and boosters, Profhilo, Rejuran, Hyaron and every glutathione or NAD+ injectable set we stock are not FDA-approved. Shipping them to a US address is importation of an unapproved product: customs detains and destroys, and the practitioner is exposed. We therefore ship only open-class products to the US. For restricted lines, we can act as a sourcing desk for a US importer who holds their own FDA registration and files their own entries, but we do not ship those goods to the US ourselves.

European Union and United Kingdom. HA fillers are Class III devices under EU MDR 2017/745; the importer must be established in the EU, registered in EUDAMED and in possession of the CE certificate, with a language-appropriate IFU. We supply CE-marked fillers and boosters (Restylane, Juvederm, Neuramis, e.p.t.q., Profhilo, Hyaron) to EU-established importers and distributors on a quote basis. Glutathione injectables have no EU authorisation and we do not ship them to the EU.

GCC (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain). Medical devices and injectables need a registered importer, typically a licensed medical supplies company, and product registration with the health authority (for example MOHAP or SFDA). Clinics usually buy through such an importer rather than importing directly. We ship to the importer of record.

South and Southeast Asia, Africa, Latin America. Rules vary widely, from a straightforward wholesale pharmacy or device licence to full product registration. Tell us your country and we will say what we know, and what we do not.

The rule that never changes: the buyer is the importer of record, must hold the licence their country requires for that product class, and pays duties and taxes at destination. We will not mis-describe contents or value on a customs declaration, and we do not ship where the buyer cannot lawfully import.

Step 3: Documents you receive from Qunza

Every export order ships with:

  1. Commercial invoice in USD, in the importer's legal name, with product description, quantity, unit and total value, country of origin and HS code per line.
  2. Packing list with carton count, gross and net weight and dimensions.
  3. Batch, lot and expiry per line on the invoice.
  4. Certificate of analysis for the batch, on request.
  5. Courier airway bill with the tracking number sent to you on dispatch.

If your regulator or broker needs an additional document, such as a manufacturer's free sale certificate or a CE certificate copy for a specific SKU, ask before we dispatch so we can source it with the goods.

Step 4: HS codes

HS codes are assigned per line, not per parcel, and your broker may reclassify under local tariff rules. The headings we use most:

Product type HS heading we declare
HA dermal fillers and HA skin boosters 3304.99 (cosmetic preparations) or 9018.90 (medical devices), depending on the destination's classification practice
Injectable glutathione, vitamin and lipolytic solutions 3004.90 (medicaments, put up in measured doses)
PN / PDRN boosters 3004.90 or 3001.90 depending on destination
Serums and topicals 3304.99
Oral supplements 2106.90

Tell us if your broker has a preferred code for a product you import regularly; we will declare consistently with your previous entries.

Step 5: Couriers and transit

We ship DAP (Delivered At Place) by courier. Typical lanes from Bengaluru:

Destination Courier Transit (working days, plus customs)
GCC Aramex, DHL Express 3 to 6
UK, EU DHL Express 4 to 7
Asia-Pacific DHL, FedEx International Priority 4 to 8
USA, Canada (open-class only) DHL Express, FedEx IP 5 to 8
Africa, Latin America DHL Express 6 to 10

Distributors with their own forwarder can take delivery FCA Bengaluru instead. Shipping is quoted at order confirmation based on weight and lane.

Step 6: Cold chain packing

Temperature-sensitive lines, which include some fillers, skin boosters and multi-vial glutathione kits, ship in insulated boxes with validated gel packs sized for the transit time of your lane, typically rated for 72 to 96 hours. For longer lanes we add a temperature logger on request. Outer boxes are plain, with no product description. Photograph the parcel and contents on arrival; cold-chain products cannot be returned once accepted unless damaged in transit, so report damage within 24 hours.

A practical note: a product that is lawful to import but arrives warm is still a wasted shipment. Choose the faster courier option for cold-chain lines even when it costs more.

Step 7: Payment

No payment is taken at enquiry. After we confirm stock and shipping you receive a USD proforma invoice, and you pay by:

  • International card (Visa, Mastercard) for open-class products,
  • Bank wire (SWIFT) for any order, which is the standard route for restricted lines and distributor volumes,
  • PayPal for open-class products where available.

Dispatch follows cleared funds. Repeat distributor accounts can discuss terms once an order history exists.

A first-order checklist

  • Confirm the product class and that your licence covers it.
  • Give us the importer's legal name and address exactly as on the licence.
  • Tell us your broker's preferred HS codes if you have them.
  • Choose a courier lane that respects the cold chain.
  • Pay by wire for restricted lines.
  • Photograph the parcel on arrival.
